Off-road adventures - #mycyclingweekend

We took a little break from tarmac this weekend, did you?

This #mycyclingweekend we took a moment to look out at the world beyond the tarmac highways we, as road cyclists call home.

We love roads, don't get us wrong, they're great. But we also like mud, we like gravel, we like mountain biking, cyclocross riding and adventure cycling!

Which, if you haven't already heard, is why we're starting off-road.cc. You  know, to express the slightly dirtier side of our love for cycling.

Anyway, this weekend you guys sent us some great photos of your cycling adventures this weekend. Some of which featured some pretty great off-road adventures.

In particular, the most exciting bit of cycling we saw this week came from the camera of Instagram user cyrille_s.

What a view.

While we can't quite confirm whether cyrille_s used roads to get up to the heady heights he reached this #mycyclingweekend, we can confirm that fellow Instagram user brunostlegs used gravel to climb this weekend.

His shot from Sweden was as beautiful as it was jealousy inducing.

There were plenty more of you who went off the beaten track too. Here are a few of our other favourites:

And we also had a photo sent in to us from Stephen Hallam who perhaps regrets sticking to tarmac this weekend. Ouch.

Remember, it's never too late to get involved in the #mycyclingweekend fun. Just fire a photo over to us on Instagram or Twitter and you'll stand a chance of being in our next round-up.

When the weather is this dry there's not enough days in the week to go out. Trails in amazing condition. Spent yesterday in the Trossachs...
