#mycyclingweekend - Heatwave goodbye to that one

The heatwave cooled down in spectacularly stormy fashion over the weekend, while the wind shook-up the Tour de France

Wowza. As always, the first weekend of the Tour is a tiring one. If the weather wasn't motivation enough for you to get out and ride, the time trailing inspiration on show from Aussie Rohan Dennis should have sent you straight into your saddle.

I'm sure I wasn't alone in heading out on my bike, trying to imagine what it feels like to propel yourself at speeds of 55.4kph. I won't publish my paltry efforts, but it's safe to say that I was even more in awe once I got home. I blame the Madrilenian heat.

Sunday was equally exhausting. Watching the peloton get obliterated by windy weather, and then seeing Mark Cavendish fall short of another duel with Andre Greipel, raised the required motivation levels for any sort of Sunday evening rides.

But, clearly, back in the UK, away from the jersey-swapping antics and really windy weather, you guys found yourselves in the saddle and taking photos

We were sent well over a hundred shots of your weekend rides. From French mountains, to rainy Bike Bath, you guys were loving it. Here are a couple of our favorite photos to get this round-up rolling:

The weekend's events went down a storm too, in some cases quite literally. Riders got particularly wet in road.cc's hometown of Bath.

You came, you rode, you conquered - well done everyone who took part in Bike Bath today, great to see so many happy...

Bike Bath saw hundreds of riders brave the rainy conditions, including our very own Elaine and Tass, who were representing road.cc in their team colours.

Other members of the road.cc team were out on their bikes too. Oli spent some time with his son and an interesting looking tricycle, and I spun my way around Madrid, rainbow spoke beaded-up to inadvertently get in the spirit of the LGBT pride parade.

Sorry about that Steve. It's there in all its glory for the world to see now.
