The heatwave is upon us, and there are all sorts of things you'll need to consider before heading out on your bike that you may not have had to consider for a while. In this edition of the road.cc DealCatcher we've caught a couple of heat-beating bits - a Lusso Aircool jersey, and a range of Science in Sport Hydrating tablets - alongside some cheap Continental inner tubes.
But before we get into all that, here's an absolutely stunning deal on Shimano's excellent 105 5800 Groupset.
Hargroves
Shimano 105 5800 Groupset - £294.99
Hampshire cycle shop Hargroves have slashed an enormous 40% from the standard price of £492.92 for Shimano's excellent 105 11-speed groupset.
Our very own Stuart Kerton tested this groupset back in October last year and called it "Shimano's best bang-for-buck groupset." Stu wasn't available for comment on what he'd call this deal, but if his previous statements are anything to go by, we think he'd be impressed.
Merlin
Lusso Aircool Short Sleeve Cycling Jersey - £13.00
The weather is certainly warming up, and you'll need all the help you can get to keep cool while you're on your bike. That's why it's worth taking note of this deal and the following one.
Merlin cycles have conjured up a 57% saving on the Lusso Aircool Short Sleeve Cycling Jersey. The top, down from £29.99, features Aircool fabric which allegedly wicks away moisture while keeping you ventilated during your ride.
Science in Sport
5 x GO Hydro 20 Tubes - £15
This deal ends at midnight tonight, so if you're going to take advantage of the 50% reduction you'll have to act fast!
Science in Sport's GO Hydro tablets come in caffeinated cola, berry, and lemon flavour and contain electrolytes and sodium to help hydrate you during exercise - an issue many of use will be contending with through the coming heatwave.
Follow the link and bung five tubes of tablets into your basket to activate the discount.
Wiggle
Continental Quality Road Inner Tube - £4.49
Here's a mantra that might come in handy one day: "You can never have too many inner tubes"
If you need to stock up, and you ride on 700C wheels, now's your chance. Continental are offering you 25% off their RRP, as well as the choice of Presta 42mm or Schrader 40mm valves.

That's nothing. I ordered a 5kg bulk tub of sweets direct from haribo and got a complimentary super record groupset.
They've really got to watch that no Haribo thing..
Pretty much everyone is selling the 105 groupset at £299 or less. It certainly is a fantastic groupset, and great value at this price (not much more than Tiagra, plenty less than Ultegra).
My last two orders from Wiggle didn't have any haribo, now that is serious!
I like Ribble for cheap stuff too, but everything arrives in decanted Ribble plastic bags.
The last time I bought (Sora) STIs from them the cables had stickers on saying they were 105/Dura Ace but they were actually some no name crap cables that compressed al over the place. I ended up buying some Shimano cables anyway, which made the Ribble buy seem not so great value!
Up until recently Wiggle always use to send stuff in Shimano packaging, although I recently bought some M520 pedals from them and they arrived in just clear plastic bags too!
Finally, I am not keen on Conti tubes. I don't think they hold air particularly well and the cores often come out. I prefer Schwalbe but you rarely seem to get good offers on them.
Even single Continental inner tubes are £2.92 from Ribble.
Maybe they haven't got a click-through revenue sharing arrangement with road.cc like Wiggle must have
Agreed, if you buy 10+ from Ribble, you can get the Conti tubes for a fair bit less than that price.
I'd look around ribble for sure
A quick Google Shopping search showed most stores selling the 105 for £299. How is £295 a bargain?
That saving almost gives you enough to buy one of those inner tubes...
Although I've seen cheaper, decent tubes for less as well.
