Hi all I have a set of wheels that came off a new bike and I want to transfer them to another bike both are disc but the bike I need to transfer onto is 135 spacing. The manufacturer does conversion caps but I can’t seem to find them in the UK only in Germany which are £26 + £8 shipping which is a lot for a couple of aluminium tubes. Does anyone know if they are relatively universal? Or are they specific to wheelsets? My feeling is they are unique but I’m not 100% sure.

    Thanks ?

I had them for a Shutter

I had them for a Shutter Precision dynamo hub – it was literally just a straight 15mm tube with space for a 9mm axle. I was looking on Rose Bikes and many of the ones they offer (https://www.rosebikes.co.uk/bike-parts/hubs/accessories/conversion-kits) look similar to the ones I have on my FSA Afterburner MTB wheels – which I got for £2.99 from PlanetX (https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/WSFSAABQRENDCAP/fsa-afterburner-qr-hub-end-cap-set-front-and-rear). I think DT Swiss make their own hubs so they might not be universal, no idea about Zipp.

    Im betting unique unless you

Im betting unique unless you are very lucky.   Who is the manufacturer?  Some one wise on here might be able to look at different set from the same manufacturer and do a compare and contrast.  It can sometimes be unclear whether sets are interchangable between models and you might be able to find a different model more locally.

Also try an ebay search.  Its the sort or thing that some enterprising chap/chapess might have direct from the factory regardless of actual brand.

    Are they currently thru axle

Are they currently thru axle and you’re trying to convert them to QR? If so then some universal ones should work. It largely depends on what your existing thru axle is like – if it’s just a 15mm or 12mm straight tube then a universal fit one will work, if it’s got some steps and seals like this one from Ritchey it might not. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ritchey-Conversion-Kit-15mm-9mm/dp/B01LWPSN2P
