So getting my old Ribble ready for winter, hasn't been used for over a year. When rotating the cranks the BB felt a bit rough. Is it done, can it dry out with lack of use? If needs replacing what do you recommend?

1. Make sure it is the BB by

1. Make sure it is the BB by spinning cranks without the chain on the chainring

2. Assuming it’s still rough, you could pick the bearing seals out, and flush out any rusty gunge. Then pack with new grease. Push the seals back in.
