Either that or I reckon a squirrel going cold turkey is going to be a bit tetchy.
The chance of the drug-addled critter biting them I expect...
I'm curious what method was found to be unsafe for testing a squirrel high on meths?
Now that is properly messed up.
Methed up.
From Wikipedia:
The red squirrel or Eurasian red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) is a species of tree squirrel in the genus Sciurus common throughout Eurasia. The red squirrel is an arboreal, omnivorous rodent.
Which frankly I feel is a bit rude.
There's some further more useful information on population etc.. I started reading but was distracted by the pictures (in the Alps there are Black Squirrels!). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_squirrel
Thank you for that.
Do they not have a problem with introduced grey squirrels displacing the red on the continent?
Greys haven't been in Europe as long (1948?), so they haven't taken over as much. Give them time, though. Or, it might be something to do with pine martens in Europe eating them (we don't have many of them here).
Whilst on the topic, here's a charming little tail: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/jun/18/alabama-man-accused-of-feeding-caged-attack-squirrel-meth
