MTB lever with flat mount road disc brake ( hydraulic)

Does anyone know if a Shimano MTB lever would work with a Shimano hydraulic flat mount road disk brake?
Thanks

Yes, they will work fine.

I had plans to convert a drop bar bike to hydraulic brakes using XT flat levers and some spare road calipers.  You just need to ensure the hose fittings for the levers are correct.  Being shimano, I expect there will be no problem.  I was going to order new hoses and fittings for my build.

However I changed plans when I got a complete set(lever, calipers) of Di2 road hydraulic brakes for a really good price.

+1

Yes, it will work fine, but...

You'll obviously need to refinish the hoses (or buy new) as appropriate and bleed, so there is a bit of work required.

Even at that, it should work out much cheaper than a whole new braking system.
