Magic shine MJ-902

Hi,

I ordered what I thought was the Magicshine MJ880 (2012 version) on Amazon UK Marketplace.

However, I actually received the Magicshine MJ902 (2015) instead.  I haven't opened it yet (in case I wish to send it back) but whereas there are loads of great reviews of the MJ880 there is precious little information on the MJ902!

I spoke to Magicshine UK and they confirmed that although both lights are rated at 2000 lumens in reality the MJ880 outputs up to 2200 lumens and the MJ902 outputs up to 1800-1900 lumens.

The MJ880 (2012) does not come with a separate rear light nor a remote control, which by some accounts is a really useful add-on but the MJ902 has a smaller battery so run time may be lower.

i did only pay ~£60 for the light (confirmed on credit card statement) which is much lower than Magicshine UK could offer me so my question is...does anybody out there own a MJ902 and would they care to share what they think?  Should I stay schtum or raise merry hell and get my money back?

MJ902 is probably less than 1600 lumens on full, and the MJ880 was measured at 1473 lumens by mtbr.com (http://reviews.mtbr.com/magicshine-mj-880-u2-2013-mtbr-lights-shootout)

This danish site says typical 900 lumens and I'd rather believe them than Magicshine: http://www.batteribyen.dk/mj-902-magicshine-adventure-light-2000-lumens

I own a 880 (plus kit, with both 6x and 4x battery packs) and are quite happy.

Battery life on full power is rather short (<2 hours), but I use it mostly at 50% and turn it to 100% when needed.

Baware of fake 880s with crappy batteries and faulty chargers btw.
