I test rode one for a couple of weeks and gave it back. I didn’t find it particularly comfortable and the squeaking got on my nerves. They say it doesn’t need breaking in, but i found the rubber softened up after a couple of hundred kms improving the comfort slightly but the squeaking got worse.

If you live in London then i suggest you head down to their store in Covent garden and test ride one. If you like it, give it back and go online to find a cheaper deal.

I ended up with swift in the end. I don’t particularly find it a great saddle either even after breaking it in. But I’ve forked out the money and will live with it for now.

Depends on you. A Ti Flite (at £65) is 200g lighter. Would *I* notice a difference in both saving half a pound of weight and fifty pounds cash? yes. Have I noticed a difference in comfort between the two? no.
In my personal case, that’s what is known as a no-brainer. Your arse/legs/wallet may differ.

when you say, “heavy,” it is
when you say, “heavy,” it is 415g.

I am moving from an old genuinely heavy marin larkspur (with a kickstand that probably weighs 1/2 kilo on its own!).

I see that, for example, a £100 Flite with Ti rails is about 200g

If you are not racing, does that extra 200g really make any difference?

Been using one for about 18 months.

It’s nice, but a) heavy and b) ruddy expensive. I’ve not noticed a great difference in comfort over a £50 Flite.

They look pretty good and it’s crossed my mind to put one on my commuter, purely because it’s weatherproof. I currently have a B17 Imperial (v comfy) but I have to remember to stick the cover on when rains. I keep it topped up with proofide but try not to give it a rain soaking if possible.

I very nearly did, then I looked at Spa Cycles, and got their Aire at £45. Got myself a nice leather racing saddle and £60 more in my pocket than I would have had I gone for the Brooks (I still like my b17 though, it’s like a big comfy armchair).

I’ve got a C15. It just turned up one day, I think I won it in a competition. I was (and still am) chuffed to bits.

It’s comfy, it looks nice but it squeaks. I’ve put insulating tape on the rails but it still squeaks. It’s not a very loud squeak but on long solo rides it’s a bit irksome. I’ve ridden it in all weather and it still looks great.

    8/10 (9 if you’re a bit mutton)
