I'll see your Lickey End (so to speak, in a poker sense) and raise you....

Ok it might not be an OS place name but this one always amuses me.

Upper Dicker, Lower Dicker and The Dicker (the last is not marked though regrettably)

Do I get extra points for having two in 1 image?

It's well known round these parts that Penistone is pronounced "Penis-town"
Oh and there's a place on the way to Gravesend called Thong. Wouldn't want to get stuck there...
Pratts Bottom, near Orpington.
I always assumed it was named thus to get one up on other nearby places with silly names such as Locksbottom, Green Street Green and, of course, Badgers Mount.
Breasty Haw anyone?

Having lived just in the part of Colchester just outside of fingringhoe I can say from experience that the signposts in the area don't last that long (pesky students...)
The North East has loads, my folks live just outside of cockfield, and I can think of Shitlington crags in Northumberland...
I wouldnt be able to live here without sniggering everytime I passed the sign on the way into this village...

Don't forget Bell End as well just a few miles away.
There's so many to choose from, where do I start? There's plenty more stuff you can find too. Here, for example, is a phone box where you can call the Jeremy Vine show
