Now in its 6th year, Bike Shed is proud to present 'The Smuggler Sportive'. A challenging cycle sportive that has been dubbed the most picturesque sportive in the UK.
The 80-mile route will challenge riders to ascend in excess of 8000ft. Don't expect average speeds of over 20mph on this one!
The sportive, which will start and finish at Bike Shed in Barnstaple, North Devon, explores the region's finest roads and tackles historic coastal routes exploited by smugglers of old.
The route will navigate stunning and famous toll roads, climbing the iconic Porlock Toll; a beautiful snaking alpine style climb on the North Devon coast, and the breathtaking Lee Bay toll road that skirts high above the jagged coastline, passing a spot known as 'Smugglers Leap' where a historic smugglers battle took place.
Riders will be treated to jaw-dropping views, challenging climbs, epic descents, quiet roads and the finest North Devon food and hospitality to fill your tummies and fuel your engine.
Additionally, challenge yourself further by tackling the optional booty-climbs, and you'll earn yourself some golden loot to be exchanged for beer and coffee at HQ.

Well Soudal do sell their products in the UK too. It's what I buy in B&Q because it's the only brand I've heard off and that's from cycling.

Welcome to Car Crashes into Building.
Cases of hung, drawn and caught? Or if not in favour of the rules, hung, drawn and court erred?
I think that's fair. Just noting that as you've written that you can see that it's incredibly hard to get away from any narrative of "we need at...
