With event lengths of 5, 12 and 30-hours, we have the right level of adventure racing challenge for everyone from first-timers to the top-ranked teams. Stubborn Mule is also the 5th race in the Wisconsin Adventure Racing Series with over $2000 in cash going to the top 2-4 person teams at the season finale.

What is 'an average cyclist'? The woman next door shopping on her bike is as much as a cyclist as the local wannabe pros in lycra.
I'd say that 44x10 is a pretty big gear! Pair a 46 or 48t cassette with a reasonably sized chainring and it will hopefully get you up most things....
