800 Km in 8 Days
43,261 Ft of Climbing
Day 2's route can be found here http://www.strava.com/routes/673230
Tour of South West (TWWB) 2015 follows an epic 800k route starting in Wincanton, Somerset (UK) and heading north to Minehead where they then head down the north coast to Lands End. Once the riders have reached Lands End they head back along the south coast to Weymouth, Dorset (UK). The final day is a killer ride up to Portland Bill before heading back inland to Wincanton.
The 800km route will take our 16 riders 8 days to complete and they will climb in excess of 43,000ft of beautiful but brutal Cornish Coastline.
It is a physically and mentally tough challenge, however each rider who has taken part in the last 2 events has come back for more. Starting with 3 riders in 2010, 8 riders in 2013 and now 16 riders for 2015.
