Perhaps we could call EAPCs e-cycles leaving e-bikes to be used for electric motor bikes. This would fit in with motorcyclists being called bikers and pedallers being called cyclists. Apologies if this has been suggested before.

If so, the answer is not chicanes that affect everyone. These barriers also get in the way of existing road infra and markings making it harder to read e.g. give ways. My favourite is this bit where they've placed a barrier precisely where the keep left sign instructs you to go.

@AidanR 99% sure it would, the rider would have been desperate to finish the stage to honour his last day in yellow and I'm sure the medics, even if only subconsciously, would have been affected by a desire to let him do so.
