Geraint Thomas has announced a one-man show at the Motorpoint Arena Cardiff next month in which he will give the inside story on becoming the first Welshman to win the Tour de France.
The Team Sky rider will be joined at the event in his home city on Monday 1 October by ITV broadcaster Ned Boulting.
The show promises to reveal the Team Sky star’s journey “from the Welsh valleys to the cobbles of the Champs Elysees via Olympic and world titles.”
Thomas “will reveal untold stories from the tour, and with the help of ITV’s Boulting, will relive the unforgettable moment when he crossed the finish line to secure his own place in the history books.”
He will also “take a trip down memory lane to his early days of cycling with the Maindy Flyers Cycling Club in Cardiff and will explain to his hometown how dreaming big and working hard can lead you to the top of the podium.”
Tickets for the Geraint Thomas: Welsh Legend show go on sale at 10am this Friday 7 September 2018 on the Motorpoint Arena Cardiff website.
Thomas, who was taken aback at the scale of his welcome at his homecoming parade in the Welsh capital last month, said: “I am delighted to be returning to my hometown to chat about the Tour de France with Ned.
“It feels like only yesterday that I was cycling with the Maindy Flyers in Cardiff, and the support that I’ve had from the people of Wales and across the UK has been immense.”
