3T has got a brand new seatpost. It’s called the Zero25 and as you might be able to guess from the name, it’s a reversible design that is able to offer both zero and 25mm seatback.

The Italian company calls it two seatposts in one. But why would you want two seatposts in one? If you’re experimenting with your bike fit and don’t want to buy several seatposts to find the ideal reach for your setup, having one reversible seatpost provides a bit more flexibility. You could also swap it easily between bikes, each with different geometry that require a different setback.

The post has a reversible clamp mechanism that can be positioned for either zero or 25mm setback. There are four pieces to the mechanism with a single bolt clamping everything in place.

“No more problems with getting the wrong seatpost or needing another one when you change the type of saddle you use – it now takes 30 seconds to transform your seatpost. And the best news is that despite the double functionality, the Zero25 is even lighter than our previous seatpost.”

How light? 3T claims a 203g weight for a 350mm 27.2mm seatpost.

It’s available soon and will come in regular 27.2 and 31.6mm diameter options, as well as carbon and aluminium versions. We’ll have availability and pricing details soon. More at www.3tcycling.com
