McLaren-Honda Formula 1 team reserve driver Kevin Magnussen has broken his hand in a cycling accident.

The 22-year-old made his debut in Formula 1 at the Australian Grand Prix at the start of last season, and featured inthe team's races throughout the season alongside Jenson Button.

However his role changed to that of test driver when Fernando Alonso rejoined the team for this season – although he did race the Australian Grand Prix when the Spaniard was ruled out due to concussion.

Magnussen revealed on Twitter that he had been injured while out on a training ride.
