One of the highlights of this year's racing to date was Gerald Ciolek's victory in that brutal edition of Milan-San Remo last month, his MTN-Qhubeka team being the first UCI Professional Continental team from Africa to take part in one of the sport's biggest races after being given a wild card by organisers. The South African team has now issued an 18-minute video, An African Bicycle Dream, focusing on that race and its WorldTour debut in the previous week's Tirreno-Adriatico. It's the first episode in what promises to be an absorbing series throughout the season.

@brogs I disagree with the tone of your comment. Read up on motornormativity.
@Podc Missing the point. I don't burn through petrol when driving out of cyclist-hating UK to much more cyclist-welcoming Europe, purely for environmental reasons, and then push runners out of the way and shout at them, on 'my' path. What is happening is carbrain disease. Drive to parkrun, get out of entitlement box, continue run with carbrain on. What is 'needed' is some shocking vehicle close passes of runners from drivers, to bring runners up to speed with the carbrain disease.
So making cycling accessible in this park is implied to be a good idea… but doing similar for a park in Bath is not? Hum…
@chrisonabike Especially not ones that work out about £50,000 a body...
@antigee I think you'll find cars have been there and hence "in keeping" for hundreds of years (is this right? Anyway, well before 2000...) While cycling is obviously a very recent phenomenon, willed in to being by these woke councils...
@mitsky as someone who pays attention to language, isn't it that "bad cyclist" actually carries a moral tone? More like "evil cyclist"? (Obviously some people would say that's an oxymoron).
@qwerty360 a points system you say? You mean like the current one, where for thousands of drivers points mean... nothing, with a half-competent legal advisor, a sad story and magistrates willing to look especially sympathetically on human fallibility while driving?
@Rendel Harris the eyes - but not the bottoms.
@mdavidford You sound like Pete and Dud in The Art Gallery discussing Vernon Ward ("If he's done anything, Dud, he's done ducks") and how to assess whether his paintings were any good by the criterion of the eyes following you round the room: "You can only see one eye, Dud, but you get the impression that the other eye is craning round the beak to look at you."
Actually, it looks like they've got some kind of specially-adapted oversized duck pedals, unless that's some very serious mud caking.
