It’s energy-schwag-tastic around here at the moment. Not content with knocking out a big pile of Zipvit goodies over the past couple of weeks, we’re offering you a chance to walk away with a year’s supply of delicious 9Bars, as used by Ed Clancy and Craig MacLean – one for every day of the year!

9Bar describe them as a "deliciously nutritious seed bar designed to get the maximum nutritional goodness from seeds in a convenient and tasty way… Seeds are a nutritionally dense food containing a wide range of nutrients including minerals, vitamins, essential amino and fatty acids. There’s five different flavours – Flax is Tony’s fave, while Dave prefers original; we’re not sure about Ed and Craig – and the winner will get a nice mix.

Cards on the table: the 9Bar is a big favourite at road.cc towers, both as an energy source for longer rides and as a tiffin replacement when there’s no tiffin to be had. They may not be the most technical of energy products but come the later hours of a big ride there’s not much we’d rather be tucking into to get us round. When we reviewed the 9Bar on the site, nutrition guinea pig David Else called it a "Healthy, delicious and natural energy bar", and also said that he "was always looking forward to the next one, whereas with some other energy products I find myself forcing them down". Nom.
