Whoa! The Pard Design Impervia gravel e-bike might just be the craziest looking design you’ve seen for a while. Made from either CNC-milled 6082 aluminium or carbon – you choose – it’s powered by a Mahle M40 system, and the configuration you see here will set you back a tidy €15,700 (around £13,600).

“With Impervia, a new dimension of cycling comes to life: an object that transcends technology to become an aesthetic, emotional and sensorial experience,” says Pard Design.
Oh, alright. It’s not just a bike, then?
“Impervia is more than a bicycle: it is a moving sculpture, shaped from CNC-milled aluminium, where geometric rigour meets fluid lines, standing as a true work of design.”

That’s told us. There’s certainly a whole lot going on here. You can make up your own mind on the artistic side of things; what do you actually get?
As mentioned, the frame can be made from 6082 aluminium. If you go for this version, you’re looking at a total bike weight of about 18kg. If you’d rather have a carbon frame, the complete bike weight is said to be around 15kg.

The Mahle M40 motor delivers 105 Nm of torque and 850 watts of peak power, while weighing in at 2.5kg.
“It responds instantly to pedal input, even during sudden cadence changes, ensuring a seamless and confident ride,” says Pard Design. “Advanced features such as Motor Dynamic Overrun and Hill Brake enhance traction and safety on steep gradients and technical terrain.”
The bike pictured here has a Cane Creek Invert SL fork up front, a RockShox Reverb seatpost, and BCA disc brakes. You can choose between SRAM Red and Force gearing.

Fans of standing out from the crowd will be pleased to know that no two Pard Design bicycles are ever identical.
“Every piece is designed to be unique and unrepeatable,” says the Italian brand. “Production will be limited to ensure exclusivity and artisanal attention to every detail.”

As mentioned up top, the Impervia in the configuration shown here would cost you €15,700. Pre-orders are open at parddesign.com. First deliveries are expected from December 2025. If you were stuck for Christmas present ideas, then…

I don’t want to be vlcritical, but it looks like a creation of someone who doesn’t have much experience riding bikes. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but function is objective and this fails my that metric.
