We’ve reviewed kit before from women-focused clothing and accessory brand Ana Nichoola, but what you may not know is that when not designing items aimed at female riders, the brains behind the brand, Anna Glowinski, will more likely than not be riding her bike.

Competing across a range of disciplines, Anna is just one of the members of the MuleBar Girls team, sponsored not only by the energy food supplier but also by AnaNichoola itself and eyewear brand, Oakley.

Now, MuleBar Girls has teamed up with Liam Murphy Films to produce a film about riding in their home city, London.

Glowinski says that “the girls wanted to produce a lifestyle video to show their world and how cool it is to be a female bike rider,” and the result is a nicely executed short film that highlights not only their love of the bike, but also their sense of style.

“This is not a run-of-the-mill film about bike riding,” adds Glowinski – “it is a film about bike loving.

“This is not a run-of-the-mill film about bike riding,” adds Glowinski – “it is a film about bike loving."

What? There are bikes in the film?

The women featured must be very satisfied with how the film showcases them. I'm not sure if it shows how cool it is to be a female bike rider.

I know that velodrome, be good if there had been a few shots of them going high on the banking even if it isn't the fastest line, spectacular overtakes though. Pity the girls didn't get some footage taken at the BMX track nearby, at least one of the girls knows how to jump as can be seen from the MTB shots. The BMX bike pictured (briefly) looks as if it'd be better suited to a skatepark than the track though so maybe the video could've had some footage from Stockwell skatepark or the South Bank instead? Shooting images of them in the graffiti tunnel at Waterloo was a neat idea too - smells in there though.
