First Bicycle Music Festival comes to London next weekend

Londoners get music acts by bike

Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th June sees the Bicycle Music Festival, a pedal-powered musical entourage of five bands coming to six venues in London.

We've reported previously on Dave Gorman's comedy tour by bicycle and Paul Heaton cycling to a series of pub gigs. Now London gets the Bicycle Music Festival which combines five itinerant groups with six performances from British bands in different locations across the city.

London's just the start. Covering 4,500 miles and 19 cities across 10 countries it's not just your typical music tour, though, because the Ginger Ninjas and four other bands known collectively as the Pleasant Revolution are doing it all by bike.

The musicians carry all their instruments and equipment on cargo bikes and all performances are powered by a pedal-powered 1,200w PA system.
