Focus has today unveiled its updated Raven downcountry bike. This time round, the brand has gone even more aggressive with its geometry, donning it with a shorter stem and a longer top tube. Its geometry is also adjustable.

With the new Raven, Focus has turned its attention to its geometry, shaping the bike to perform better on today’s ever more aggressive cross-country and downcountry tracks. Though, the brand touts it as a bike that joins the mountain bike world with fast gravel, while performing at its best on the trails.

That geometry measures in with a 66.5-degree head angle, a 74-degree seat tube angle, and a 435mm chainstay. A large frame then comes with a 460mm reach. Touching back on the head angle, it’s adjustable thanks to rotatable headset cups, offering another angle of 67.5-degrees to help the bike through twistier courses.

There are three specifications of the Raven on offer. The most expensive model is the Raven 8.9 which gets a RockShox SID Select with 120mm of travel, SRAM GX Eagle shifting, SRAM Level TLM brakes and DT Swiss X1900 wheels, wrapped with Maxxis Rekon Race tyres. There’s also a Post Moderne dropper post.

At the middle of the range, the Raven benefits from a Fox Rhythm fork with the same travel, Shimano XT shifting with SLX brakes, Race Face ARC27 wheels, and matching tyres.

The base-level Raven gets the very same frame but a RockShox Judy Silver TK 29 fork with a SRAM SX Eagle drivetrain, SRAM Level brakes, and Rodi Tryp25 wheels. Each model comes sorted with a full carbon frame and 29in wheels.

Prices for the new bike start at £2,200 and go up to £3,500.
