There are also some updates to other bikes like the Stereo Hybrid ONE44 getting new Shimano XT brakes with ABS Pro, and the Evo model receiving the new XT Di2 drivetrain.
The brand’s gravel range hasn’t expanded this year, but the Nuroad frames have seen some updates with rear carrier compatibility and clearance for 50mm tyres.
Cube AMS Hybrid 177

The brand-new AMS Hybrid 177 bikes utilise the same carbon fibre technology the other lighter weight Hybrid models have. That’s the C:62 in the name, denoting the carbon layup.
The three models come with a mullet setup, so a 29in wheel at the front and 27.5in at the rear. It’s designed to be a gravity-focused e-bike with 170mm travel front and rear, so it’ll save you some money on uplift days, although the top model still costs just shy of £10k.
To say it’s a gravity-slugging machine, however, it does have quite a steep seat tube angle of 76.9 degrees, and a head tube angle of 64.2.

What’s pretty cool however is the fact it uses the Bosch Performance Line CX-R or CX motors with a 600Wh battery and it still manages to only weigh a claimed 21.7kg.
We’re really seeing a lot more full-fat e-bikes lowering their weight and competing with the lightweight eMTB space. And for someone who’s a bit smaller and doesn’t really want to be lugging 27kg+ around, I’m all for it.
The models and spec

There are three models of the AMS Hybrid 177, with the C:62 Super TM 600X at the top with a price tag of £9,999. It comes with Bosch’s CX-R motor and a 600Wh PowerTube battery. Alongside this you get Fox Factory suspension front and rear, and SRAM XX Eagle AXS Transmission with Maven Ultimate brakes.
The mid-tier option is the AMS Hybrid 177 C:62 AT 600X. At £7,499 it’s not a bad price for so much bike, using Fox Factory suspension front and rear, and Shimano’s XT Di2 drivetrain with XT brakes.

Finally, there’s the AMS Hybrid 177:C62 TM 600X at £5,499. It’s the only bike the range to get the Bosch Performance Line CX motor over the CX-R, but with eMTB mode it doesn’t lack any extra power.
Fox is yet again the suspension provider, although the TM 600X gets Fox Float Performance rather than Factory setups. A SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission and Maven Silver brakes top it off.
The bikes are available to buy from Cube dealers now.
