The way we buy bicycles has changed over the years and one noticeable trend is that of ‘concept’ stores that sell just one brand of product. Both Specialized and Trek are at it, as are Giant, who this week have opened their latest Brand Store in St Paul’s, central London. Giant already has a wide network of standalone stores spread across the country but this latest marks their first move into the Capital.
And it’s a biggie: 950 square metres split over two floors. That space includes the first women’s specific area in any of their brand stores, covering an area of 150 square metres and will showcase their range of women’s bikes and clothing.
Billed as their flagship store it’s located at 200 Aldersgate, which is right across the road from the Museum of London (so easy to find then) and as well as stocking a full range of bikes and accessories from the Taiwan-based company’s catalogue, and interestingly products from Oakley, Pearl Izumi, Shimano and Endura as well.
They’ll also be offering a professional bike fitting service to get you setup properly on your new bike, plus a workshop for getting your bike in tip-top condition - and they’ll service any brand of bike as well, not just a Giant. And as is bang on-trend these days for any modern bike shop, you’ll even be able to get yourself a coffee, there’s an in-store charity cycle cafe with a donation box for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The store will be open seven days a week, here’s the full address and contact details.

If it's only 950 square meters over two floors I can't see many giants popping in they won't fit.
