Haha, I was only messing with Ter, TTT's don't get last man home, But I wanted to see his reply
1st on the forum league won't last
Joint First
No worries, TTTs make things complicated. Riders are ranked on their team performance because otherwise someone who puts all their efforts in at the start isn't rewarded for helping their team succeed.
I think its fair not to have last man for TTTs.
Totally agree xcept Senor Paulinho didn't put all he had in helping his team..he's just lazy and is allergic to rain..poor bastard
Not sure really, each team member completing the course gets the points for their teams finishing position so how is it right that a guy could get 10 points for their team winning but another 10 for being last man?
Makes sense..just a brain fart..
Dammit Grabsch!! Put him in my purist and normal team.. don't we get "last man home" points for Paulinho? He's last in the official list for the stage.
Don't forget to remove Sylvain Georges who didn't finish.....
No last man home either??
Not as far as I know I was under the assumption last man home didnt count for TTT's (needs a Dave ruling)
Did they drop Grabsch? Ouch, I bet that hurts a few people.
Only just realised OPQ changed their team at the last minute, the buggers.
Who? I may have done the scores wrong just updating now
I think they have changed 2 members since last night. will fix it but gotta do all the scores again, gonna let it finish the update first
Ok, so Cav won....
I reckon Saxo will take it. Contador, Rogers, Boaro and Kreuziger all on the same team! That's 4 potential top 10 finishers in individual TT.
Either that or Omega.
Standard
Cav
Nizzolo

Bennati
van Keirsbulck
Phinney
Bole
Dennis
De La Cruz
Purist
Sagan
Purito

My purist team (hoping for big things)
J-Rod
Evans
Mollema
Sanchez
Cunego
Demare
Appollonio (who I forgot to drop)
Pardilla
Bole
In theory I'd have ditched Appollonio for someone cheap and maybe upgraded Cunego or Bole but it's too late now.
My purist team
Peter Sagan
Fredrik Kessiakoff
Tony Martin
Tom Jelte Slagter
Bauke Mollema
Daniel Martin
Andy Schleck
Manuel Quinziato
Rohan Dennis
Cav
Greipel
Nizzolo
Demare

Nizzolo
Bole
Froome
Nocentini
Lagutin

Nordhaug
Dennis
My team, I changed it a little over lunch but the body is the same as I'd planned:
Cavendish
Degenkolb
Farrar
Bennati
Nizzolo
Demare
Pardilla
Rohan Dennis
Quinziato
I had Appollonio in until about half 12 but figured he'd be second choice sprinter behind Belletti so ditched him as well as Grabsch in favour of Pardilla and Dennis who I can keep for the duration (in theory).
Its pissing down with rain there today, It should make for interesting results
7 Sprinters, two nothing DSs (for the TTT). Saving my 6 transfers for the first proper mountain stage
I know I said I wasn't bothering with the TTT but for 5 credits I reckon they're more reliable than any other cheapo DS. I just worry that they limit me credit wise over 3 credit DSs but which of those are ever going to do anything?!
Also, a badge should be added for picking Andy Schleck. Whoever picks him the most through the year should get an award for blind hope.
My tactic is to largely ignore the stage. Fantasy wise the gaps opened up thanks to people scoring 10, 9 and 8 points etc aren't big enough for me to care.
I'm stacking it for tomorrow and banking the transfers.
As for Sagan i think he might use the race as hard training for the spring classics with his buddy Moser a more likely candidate for the top 10.
The TTT is only just 10 mile so i dont think picking specialised tt'ers is going to be much of an advantage in this stage. My team consists of 7 different teams so hopefully i should get a half decent score and will already have 3 of my main gc hopes already in the team.
Wow 3 GC hopes in your team already! I have 8 sprinters and a 3 credit guy who could do something in the hills/final TT.

Yep, and i've probably put the kiss of death on them all now
I have those 2 mentioned above plus big sprinters
Can't see me squeezing Sagan in
Ive ditched the TTT totally, got my team set for the next two days so then I can make 6 transfers for stage 6
I have one of each of these, OPQS, Lotto, BMC, Garmin, Radioshack, Vini, Movistar, FDJ and Vaconsoleil.
