To celebrate Easter, come join IBikeLondon for a free fun and sociable bike ride around East London.
We will meet at 10:30am on Saturday 30th March at St Paul’s Church Yard, on the steps in front of the cathedral (postcode: EC4M) and the ride will start at 11:00am. It should take around 2 hours to complete and the pace will be relaxed.
After going through the City, we will head to Canary Wharf cycling along the Thames. We will cross the river through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel and follow the Thames path until Bermondsey. We will end up at the pub, the Angel (101 Bermondsey Wall East, Rotherhithe, London SE16 4NB). After this, some of us will go to a street party celebrating cycling in Lambeth, the ‘Launch of the Van Gogh Walk’, so you are very welcomed to join.
The route covers 20 kilometres (12 miles) and is flat most of the way. If you have a GPS or a smartphone we recommend downloading the route map onto your device. We will hand out small maps at the start.

Things to know: Everyone can join. We do not provide the bikes. For your safety we recommend wearing a helmet, but you’re free not to. We are careful on the road, we pause at stop signs and lights so we don’t disturb other road users. Make sure you bring food and drink with you. We will provide mechanical assistance if needed.

Some Highways Authorities insist on over engineered designs, and that might have happened here. They should be following Local Transport Note 1/20.
