Now back in London full-time after 15 years living in Oxford and Cambridge, he loves cycling along the Thames but misses having his former riding buddy, Elodie the miniature schnauzer, in the basket in front of him.

Not to be confused with the Tommy Godwin b.1912 d.1975 who rode 75,065 miles (120,805 km) in 1939 !!
Chapeau indeed.
At least he was able to witness a British cyclist win the Tour de France and a hugely successful Olympic/Paralympic medal haul for GB athletes on home soil before he died. Chapeau Tommy.
