I wonder where they will go after the ruling that
'On 16 December, Southwark Coroner's Court in London found that air pollution "made a material contribution" to the death of nine-year-old Ella Adoo-Kissi-Debrah.'
as they have always said that there are no deaths linked to air pollution. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-55352247
would it be an overstatement to say that we and CUK have sent him packing on this nonsense, the "survey" having "closed" in what, the space of a week?
Thought it was pointed out that they closed it so the Daily Heil,/ Heil on Sunday could use it for their (s)hit piece on cycling lanes on Sunday.
ah, just seen the news that the Mail wrote something pretty predictable on the back of it.
Just been debating in polite Linkedin terms one of the daily CUK posts - this guy recongnises that the rot (E.g. people not living near work/school) has been setting in for 50 years, he still expects instant results usage wise when a new cycle lane goes in. Oh, and somehow cycle lanes CAUSE pollution.

U accuse "..
@FairFuelUK
of running a ‘how much do you hate cycling’ survey" - Where is you evidence of your accusation. 2000+ cyclists have taken part & what they say will be published as analysed. In all questions you can answer YES, NO, DONT KNOW
He's like a small version of Donald trump.
'Do you think motorists pay too much road tax'
'Do you agree cyclists pay no road tax'
'Dont you think they should?'
Or is he just far away?....
Aah, forget it Dougal!
Howard has admitted to removing some of the responses
It started off reasonably enough then ...
FROM RECENT MEDIA REPORTS, UNELECTED SPECIAL ADVISORS IN NO 10 ARE INFLUENCING THE ROLL OUT OF CYCLE LANES. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS
HAS ROLLING OUT HUNDREDS OF MILES OF DEDICATED CYCLE LANES DURING THE PANDEMIC BEEN THE RIGHT TIME TO IMPLEMENT
SHOULD ROAD CYCLISTS BE MADE TO ADHERE TO THE SAME ROAD USER RULES THAT DRIVERS LEGALLY MUST FOLLOW, SUCH AS:
1. MOTORING LAWS & PENALTIES
2. ROAD USER TESTS
3. ROAD TAXES
then the survey Meister went to the pub and we got the above.
The fact that anyone can take this survey and they have no idea on age, gender, ethnicity, etc.and there's no independent scrutiny, this is little better than Facebook.
I assume as a declared Walker and cyclist, I'll go straight in the bin anyway.
I think I was a mainly a yes on the last one above.
Brilliant : "do you like paying taxes?" Rabble rousing.
Completed. So that's 4 outliers in their data. I imagine I will now have the dubious honour of being on their mailing list too.
You used your real email address??
Want to make sure I get the results and the opportunity to participate in future!
now 5 outliers.
I've already made some snarky comments about this survey on the Live Blog, so here, I'll just point out that the very name "Fair Fuel UK" is implying that fuel tax is unfair.
Fuel tax is indeed unfair as it has been kept frozen for a significant period of time (too busy ranting - no time to check the facts) and it doesn't take into account the external costs of just dumping the burnt products into the air for everyone to breathe in.
I've filled it in, probably a little more pro cycling than I actually am, just to try and balance some of the knuckle dragging responses they are bound to get. It would be funny if their survey told them that everyone wanted LTNs and more space for cycling!
Completed. I'm not sure I am their target demographic though.
