Anti cycling column from blowhard

Motoring blowhard Mike Rutherford is at it again. You just need to look at this man to ask if he at all the pies. More than anyone, he could benefit from cycling to get some exercise. But please don't accuse me of fat shaming. Just read his column and weep, though you probably know the sort of drivel it contains. The mere fact that 40% of car journeys made in the UK are for distances of 2 miles or less completely obliterates the point he's trying to make about congestion. It's people in cars that are that are major cause of congestion, not cyclists.

I get the auto express emagazine free from my library and I'm proud to say that in 5 years of reading it every week I have never scrolled past the 10 pages or so of new car prices to read Mike Rutherford's column. I'm pleased that my lazyness to scroll has saved me from reading his drivel.

I have to be honest, that for a two mile journey I often wouldn't even bother getting the bike out!

Are you saying you'd use the car or walk? If you're walking two miles for chores you've got too much time on your hands.

Two miles.  A mile there, a mile back.  Fifteen minutes walk there, fifteen back.

Are you saying you wouldn't walk a mile?

Yep, it was in yesterdays Live Blog.

It's clickbait journalism, fanning the flames in his readership.

The bloke is an oik.
