Handlebar camera mount

Hi,

Any recommendations for a handlebar mount for a camera? Must be the 1/4x20 screw mount, rather than the GoPro standard.

I've got a K-Edge Go Big Pro mount on one of my bikes, as per the link, and that works really well (although the screw could do with being a bit longer), but it's a bit pricy for what it is, so wondered what else people use.

I don't currently use a GPS (well, not on the bars, anyway), so I don't need a dual purpose mount.

Thanks,

I doubt there are many other alternatives out there given the ubiquity of the Go-Pro mount system now. The only other option would be a gopro handlebar mount coupled with a 1/4" tripod screw adapter like this...

...but that introduces a pivot point and additional height.

You could buy a GoPro-to-1/4 adapter, which would then open up the world of GoPro mounts.

E.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Goliton%C2%AE-GoPro-Tripod-Thread-Adapter/dp/B0...

It did actually come with a similar GoPro mount adapter, but the screw it came with is so pathetically short I'd need to buy another one, anyway!

Besides which, it's another link in the system that I don't really want, tbh.

Thanks, but both of those are above-bar mounts and I'm after an in-front-of-bars mount - basically, a cheaper alternative to the K-Edge one in my OP.

The Minoura quick release camera mount is a rock solid piece engineering but you pay for it. Big cork platform that happily supports an SLR body.  Comes in S (22-29mm), M (28-36mm) and presumably L (?) sizes.
