Bring it round my house, my wife seems to be able shrink anything!
she sounds sexy lol if you need anything burnt send it to mine
Well I'm keeping the 'big for Dad' jersey for myself and ordered him a smaller size.
I shall now order far too big (my size) cycling clothes for my 'loved' ones now
a scarf isa good idea! One size fits all lol

I've just had this problem with Father's Day gift; a road jersey that should have a tight fit that looks pretty baggy for a large... Could be an XL.
The shops locally to me will never stock that brand or 1/4 of the sale price, otherwise I'll be happy to buy from them.
Oh well, a good winter jersey lol.
Better going to your bike shop and try a jersey on. You may pay a little extra but it's worth it for a good fit. Just a thought.
The distance selling regulations do not apply to used goods
(For context I run both a physical retail outlet and a moderately sucessful e-tailer)
As someone who sells used books, I can assure you the distance selling law applies fully to used goods.
You might be confused with sales by private individuals selling their own privately used goods rather than a business. If you are not selling for profit, then they do not apply but there is no distinction used/new if sold by a business.
Is it some special edition you can't get elsewhere or get a similar one of elsewhere? Send us a link. Unless it is very fitted and aero, you could just take in the sides with a internal pleat, tests your sewing skills.
Here's my tip. The first jersey I bought after starting cycling is now too big because I've lost weight.
It's now big enough to wear over several base layers, so that in winter I can look like the sort of hard man who goes out wearing only a jersey in freezing conditions.
haha
Don't think you are serious
Why would he eBay it? He's bought it, it's too large - presumably he can return it unless he's already tried to shrink it (why would you?) or has damaged it in some way...
Get a refund and buy it somewhere else.
He'd eBay it if it he'd worn it or couldn't refund it. Nothing profound there. I presumed he couldn't, you presumed he could.
Amazing how adults need basic stuff explained to them.
It's simple to infer that he bought the jersey online. If you buy goods online, it's your legal right to a refund unless the product is damaged - it doesn't matter if he's worn it to try it on. I don't see how it would have become damaged in the process of realising it was a little large.
Amazing how - some - adults resort to thinly veiled insults to try and gain the upper hand in a discussion.
Either way - continuing with the original and less facile discussion - attempting to shrink a jersey that's too large is a poor decision. It's unlikely to end up the correct size or quality.
If you try to shrink the fibers you can ruin the elasticity a bit. You can try soaking it in cold water then sticking it in the dryer. May or may not work depending on heat settings and blend etc.
Possibility to mess up the fit too and get bunching. That'd be my main worry.
Personally, I'd eBay it. Must be a smaller size somewhere at a decent price. Loads of Euro stores have massive stock. What jersey is it?
You can shrink it,You have to wash it at the hottest temp then whip it out the machine while it's still hot,Chuck it in a pillow case and sling it in a tumble dryer on a high temp.
Just add cake.
What a bizarre idea. Return it. Get a refund. Buy a different jersey - it can't be the only one that takes your fancy... Or be patient?
