i have some Galibier team bib shorts and for £50ish they embarrass my £85 bib shorts. Really good quality, and an excellent pad. Best bit of kit I have.
I have all bibs of all price range. You name it and I recently bought the DHB Pro for £57 and I recommend them. I am now wearing one and I love them and all my other bibs (Asos, Castili, Rapha) are now backup.
I thinks the pattern design can be better and more classic like rapha but other than that it is absolutely value for money.
Exactly the sort of question we built Spokely for!
(There's loads...)

I have the dhbs and they are good. Also have a look at Lusso, a British brand that do stuff around that price. I have some non-bibs from them which are really good.
I'm exceptionally happy with the Altura Progel Bibs I picked up for just under £50 recently. Strangely minimal padding which I didn't expect would go well but they're great. Usual bib/saddle caveat applies though, every arse is unique...

posted just this morning on the front page of this site. Doesn't cover the £40-£50 range admittedly.
