Shap Spring Classic (Lakeland Classics #1)
Easily accessible from the ‘summit’ of the M6, the Shap Spring Classic is a 75 mile ride which explores the roads through the beautiful area between the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales (set to be given National Park status). The route is designed to show off the highlights of this lesser known area bridging the Lakes and Dales and is a great introduction to sportive events, or a good test for more experienced riders.
The first of the three event Lakeland Classics Series, the event can be ridden as a stand alone event or with the other two classics for an overall time.
Likewise, I prefer a lower cadence when descending.
