Two transfers tomorrow before it wraps up
After recovering from a poor start to the raceI messed the final stage up, bringing in DeMarchi for Sanchez. Stupid decision again.
Having transfers left isn’t always a good thing. 🙁
I dropped Kelderman which didn’t prove a smart move either.
A better day for me, after being shocking up to now.De Gendt, Di Marchi and I kept Colbrelli. With Kwia and Bernal it wasn’t bad. I am lined up OK for ITT too.
No threat to anyone, I didn’t have Groenewegen earlier in the week as I had decided he wouldn’t cope with the wind. Don’t get many decisions more wrong.
Safe to say TDG will find his way into a lot of teams now…
He’s been very quiet for a while now…what made you think he would come alive this time?…
I just didn’t think any team would work hard to bring back the break. Once you have decided that, and if you gamble that you are going to put somebody in the break, who is better that TDG and Di Marchi. They are definitely serial breakers.

Glad I swapped out Thomas for Poels before the race started, looks like Thomas might be carrying a bug. That would explain why the TeamSky TTT was so disappointing.
Did use three transfers, but they were Yates, Bettiol and GVA. With Alaphippe too, not a bad day.

Not sure about Ride London, but I know at some events the charities pay the organisers for places.
With 4 months to go they are really just into selling season for the charity places. Gets the newer riders who say’ I fancy x event, Oh it is sold out, but there is a charit place’.

Did have one Jumbo rider yesterday, but didn’t have Roglic which cost me.

Followed Minardi and took out GVA in the hope he doesn’t like this summit as much as he didn’t like it for the last two years.Went with the 4 main guys plus Frank although I have no faith in him whatsoever. Left Gibbons and Cras and Naesen in. leaves me 3 transfers for tomorrow.

Another day another error. Spent yesterday evening pondering a single change for stage 3 Herrada for De Decker. Decided I wasn’t sure enough about Herrada and kept the transfer for another day.
Herrada 2nd, De Decker DNF.
Did have 3 of the top 4. ‘Could have been a contender’
