    Didn’t get the1st stage right
Didn’t get the1st stage right. Managed to get 7 scorers (and an abandon in Hirt), but except Bernal they didn’t bring in the big points.

    Why did I doubt WVA?

    The debate is interesting.

    The debate is interesting.

It proves, what psychologists know, that we value something we lose much higher than things of equal worth we never had.

    Loss Aversion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loss_aversion

Strave free users will feel a loss greater than the value to them of the features they lose.

A big investment, but I think a wise one.  On my 10th year with some Northwave winter boots and they look good for a few winters yet.

Good time of year to buy last seasons model?

There is no such thing as

There is no such thing as ‘free delivery’.

There is such a thing as delivery included in the price of the goods.  Whether you have explicitly paid for delivery or not should not matter.

It must be the matching thing

It must be the matching thing for people.

With trickle down modern Tiagra 10 speed will be just as good as old 10 speed Ultegra.

I recently bought a new rear mech for my commuter bike that runs a hotch-potch of 10 speed.  It replaced an Ultegra 6700 mech that had been on a couple of bikes.  RD-5701 105, it was less than £30.  Looking now they are a bit dearer, but nowhere near the costs of the old Ultegra stuff.  You can get a Tiagra one for less than £20.

Loved the race.  With the demise of all sport, which is my best distraction when more important things are difficult, it has been something minor to worry about.

Not been my best fantasy race, but finished on a high with the first 6 in this stage.  Might go up a few places.

Less worried about my lack of transfers now.  I did have three left that would have left me with a sprint team and Lutsenko for GC points.

    Maybe. The perception of risk
Maybe. The perception of risk may be very different between May and July. I am not sure anybody really knows where we will be in a few weeks or months.

    If Giro doesn’t happen and

If Giro doesn’t happen and the Tour does.  Wow it could be a stacked field.

Both Yates brothers make it a goal.  Carapaz added to the INEOS team etc.

    Bringing Groenewegen back in

Bringing Groenewegen back in was a success today, still wasted a transfer early on that I am regretting.

I expect Dainese was in a few teams from the start, mine anyway, and if he had come good it may not have made a huge difference to standings.

Yep, unless he scores some points he’ll be dirt cheap. Might take some organiser discretion to manually fix his value depending on what his form is like.

Not convinced it is going to matter in July.
