Not quite, but such is the cost imposed it had to be set up by the industry.
And the cyclist was not breaking the law by riding with no insurance.

To answer the comment that questions if drivers have crowdfunded for reckless drivers, yes they do, because so many are illegally driving without insurance, all those purchasing motor insurance pay towards a fund to give towards those injured by the uninsured.

ShaunC, distracted driving
ShaunC, distracted driving kills and seriously injures many people, especially those vulnerable ones not protected by by huge metal boxes.
Using a phone hands free is as bad as driving at or slightly beyond the drink drive limit, staring at a screen well away from the big front window is incredibly dangerous, what with the change in focus of the eyes and the amount of concentration required. I have yet to know about any research done, getting a grant may be rather difficult seeing how obvious it would seem, but when you are driving you are meant to be driving, nothing else. And this bloke is meant to be teaching a new generation of drivers.
If anyone should know the law and it’s implications…

Sat Navs should be mounted.
Sat Navs should be mounted.
Let the police decide.
If thes driver cannot be bothered to follow the rules, is he really going to be teaching their students with any honesty.

I’m going to big up brake
I’m going to big up brake boosters for V’s and especially cantilevers. I’ve never tandemed, but a booster on the front just adds so much to the power, never wanted one on the back, but for a very easy plus to power on a tandem, why not?

The bigger cassette thing is your best bet, though be careful using big big until you can fit a slightly longer chain.

This is a particularly timely thread for me, as I intend to wrap the loop on my Jones H bar.
I don’t think that I have wrapped any bars since the early 90s.
I’m thinking a middleish price, not too cheap and not very expensive. The Cinelli Tennis tape sounds about right.
Is it necessary to use finishing tape, or will electrical tape sufice?

I think that some people are incredibly lazy, those sellers are hoping to take advantage of the people who have signed up to Prime and can’t be bothered to expand their searches.

8 speed works even when covered in filth and with the chain in a terrible state.
The cheap stuff is very cheap, but the good stuff is rare and shockingly pricey.
Thank you for yor tale.

Good luck, bicycles should be quiet, and any noises are very irritating.

I have always had a great time with latex tubes for my 26×2 tyres, Air-B then Michelin, you have to take care of them a bit, talc when instaling, and for the spare, then wrap in tissue paper and then plastic bag and try and protect from the light. But I would do this for any tubes, more important for latex. I have not found them to be too delicate, thay are lighter and the rolling resistance is meant to be lower. It is claimed they have some more puncture resistance than butyl tubes, don’t know about that, but when you do need to fix them you can use a sharpie to mark out your work.
