OK, I’ve checked with Dave, I was quoted an old rule. That was on the /rules page, but has now been removed.I think you can still only win 1 stage per race, but overall prizes are not limited to one per season.
That was just when it was the 3 bikes up for grabs

No, the stage winner has to
No, the stage winner has to have won a stage in this race already, not the season. The overall prize is the one per season.I think it was more to do when it was just the 3 grand tours were bikes to win. Not sure

Prizes
The list of prizes for
PrizesThe list of prizes for each competition will be posted in the run-up to the competition. These will include an overall prize for the highest points total of the competition, and daily stage prizes.
You can only win one major prize (first prize for a competition) during the season, and you can only win one prize for the highest stage score in a single competition. In the event that you place first a second time in either of these scenarios, the prize will be awarded to the first player without a win, and you will be offered a runner’s up prize if one is being offered for the prize you’ve won. There’s no cash alternative for any prize offered. Prizes will be posted for free within the UK only. Overseas postage can be arranged at the winner’s expense. It is a condition of entry that you agree to join the road.cc mailing list, and the mailing lists of selected supporters of the game. None of these parties will share your email address with anyone else, and full unsubscribe details will be included with every email sent.
There will also be an overall prize for the highest score, a prize for the best single stage score and a purists’ overall prize. Further prizes will be announced as they are confirmed.
In the event of a tie, the following criteria, where applicable, will be used to determine the winner:
Highest single stage score posted within a competition
Fewest transfers used within a competition
Most scoring riders on a stage
Highest scoring individual on a stage

Just 15 miles up the road
Just 15 miles up the road from me, plenty of cycling around here, do you like hills? You can get easily to both Glenshee and The Lecht from there, its on your doorstep.
Other than that, you can head towards Aberdeen and use some of the main and back rounds to construct a round trip. Its pretty quite with traffic out here, so all the roads are ok to use.
If you are not a fan of hills, have a look at something called The Deeside Way. Its the old railway line that used to run from Aberdeen to Ballater. Its nice and flat in most places and it is all either hard compacted or tarred.
