Travelling by train, you’re bombarded by announcements and posters about penalty fare and how busted you’ll be if there’s anything amiss. I wish drivers were subject to the same rigour and focus.

The stink of extortion: “Customers at Cineworld Llandudno wishing to use the Junction Leisure Park car park for longer than 3 hours can do so by validating their parking. Visitors should enter their registration details and proof of ticket purchase into one of the tablets located inside the cinema.”

Active travel, anyone? A bit of a long read here: it’s new housing developers, it’s road repairs. Drivers seem to be into the idea of overpopulation at the moment.
The comments do shed a little light.

Free parking in council car parks in the two towns could end in October
final paragraph, once all the unfortunate souls with the means to run a car have whined about their lot:
Ms Rigby said: “A lot of people who are very low income have no vehicle whatsoever and they are breathing in other people’s pollution. I think it’s fair that we protect those people as well.”

It’s no fun doing anything regarding driving anymore.
Everyone is out to fleece you out of your hard earned.
All in the government’s interest of getting people out of their vehicles and onto public transport.
Good luck with that.

One more paint job will fix it. A shame they aren’t importing more ideas from The Netherlands. Still more money being thrown at drivers.
Running Horse Roundabout on A229 Blue Bell Hill, Maidstone, to be turned into ‘turbo roundabout’
this style of road junction is designed to prevent drivers from switching lanes by using colour-coded routes. This means motorists will instead pick their chosen exit before entering the roundabout and follow the correct lane.
The redesign is said to cost Kent County Council around £650,000 and has been put forward in hopes of reducing crashes on the junction as well as improving lane discipline by users.
Existing informal cycling and pedestrian crossing points will be retained (???)

Hereford bypass plan: major update
“Vehicles travelling north to south through the county mostly go through Hereford to cross the river,” says the council.
“Creating another road bridge across the river Wye will reduce reliance on Greyfriars Bridge and the A49 through the city, improving journey times and improving resilience of the network.”

This is a link to a Look at Life feature: at 6′ and 7′ it features Markyate and Stilton, both villages with a major road route previously passing through and now newly by-passed. The place goes really quiet – for a little while, anyway. Funny how we’re still chasing that idea decades later.
