I’ve opened comp. There will no doubt be rider changes. Suter will appear after Romandie (team change required).

Pretty mouldy field really. Some of the week long races has been way better represented.

    Definitely! Had a cheeky bet

Definitely! Had a cheeky bet on Bouwman at 80-1 but stage was 500 metres too long!

Might as well do that for any stage which isn’t a sprint or a TT.

Well done to all those who

Well done to all those who took a punt on Mollema, he’s finally made the break & should be good for a hatful of points. I went low risk sadly.

    Same. All GC/climbers + only

Same. All GC/climbers + only Nizzolo as sprinter. Was happy enough until Landa exited, he was on track for a good point haul…

Yes , as it stands, Ciccone

Yes , as it stands, Ciccone looks a much better pick than Buchmann. Buchmann normally so consistent but not so far!

    Identical teams.  Who’d have

Identical teams.  Who’d have thunk it? đŸ™‚

The Evenpoel and Bernal gamble might still backfire.  The Purist could go to an “outsider” yet.  I’m still not convinced Ewan was a good pick.  This was tough to pick a team and the race is crazy so far.  If Evenpoel doesn’t last and Bernal’s back goes then the Purist could be a huge win for someone outside the top 25 in the overall.

GC day for stage 6?  Harm Vanhoucke was on form and will have freedom but I’ve played it “safe” so will probably be a massive break with Vanhoucke and De Gendt taking shed loads of points. đŸ™‚

    I went even thinner for

I went even thinner for sprinters….and included Landa. My purist game Is more or less cooked now. It needed a stage four win and the main riders leading GC on that day….and now Landa out.

I went Ciccone over Buchmann…I just don’t think Buchmann is on it at all at the moment.

I suspect at least one rider

I suspect at least one rider might be different.  He has not scored so far if at all but might rack up mountain/GC points later, especially if any more big favourites drop out. đŸ™‚

    Do you have Buchmann?

    Almeaida, Landa, Sivakov gone

Almeida, Landa, Sivakov gone.  Bernal, Carthy, Evenepoel (?) looking good.  Some Purist teams will be potentially out of contention already if you ask me.

I thought leaving out Almeida was a big risk.  I’m pretty far behind at the moment but if my luck holds out….
