I’ve opened comp. There will no doubt be rider changes. Suter will appear after Romandie (team change required).

Pretty mouldy field really. Some of the week long races has been way better represented.

    Yeah. Just reading a couple

Yeah. Just reading a couple of online forums, pretty much reflecting what we’ve discussed. Plenty to consider for our purist teams…the standard one will just unfold.

    Yeah, I noticed that. Masnada

Yeah, I noticed that. Masnada was pretty dammed good this week. All eyes will be on Almeida for them but Masnada might very well have good three weeks as well. It can only be that they think, with both of them, they’re in with a shout.

    Yep, Bernal is the big

Yep, Bernal is the big unknown. Was brilliant in Strade Bianchi but then the Pinot style problems re-emerged. Another odd aspect is Quick Step going with a full on GC team and no sprinter, especially with the plethora of fast men they have spare (assuming Bennett does the TdF) Hodeg, Senechal, Cav, Jakobsen, Ballerini…..

    Yeah…plenty.

    Yeah…plenty.

Gonna be interesting. Given that Bernal might be iffy for this season, and Evenepoel in the realms of the unknown, it starts to have possibilities for the under card. I have a sneaky feeling Landa might do really well. He been climbing just fine and looking very much like a player again.

    Plenty of bargains apart from

Plenty of bargains apart from Almeida, who occupies his own luxury price bracket!

Will they be any good though?

Will they be any good though?…I’m not even certain of Bernal these days….will he manage three weeks in one piece?

    Evenepoel and Groenewegen

Evenepoel and Groenewegen both making their season debut’s and oh so cheap. Shame money doesn’t seem to be a problem, a budget of 100 units would of made things a bit more interesting.

    Yes, when the routes were

Yes, when the routes were announced, the talk was of a lot of riders targeting the Giro over the Tour as the parcours was more challenging ( the suggestion was that the TdF route had been Alaphilipped!). In the end I guess the sponsors want the biggest riders at the Tour irrespective of the parcours and they pay the wages!
