Cromwell Road parking
Cromwell Road parking ‘nightmare’ next to Dorchester South
“If you move out of your space there’s a chance you won’t get it back for days. I don’t drive my car so much anymore as I’m afraid to move it, but I could do with it a lot more due to my health condition.

It’s not that surprising that
It’s not that surprising that Mr GrumpyGobshite hasn’t seen the 20mph limit “stuck too [sic] in 47 years” as it was only reintroduced in 2004, it was 30mph from 1960 to then.

Then once the driver matches the 25 MPH speed, the cyclist is holding him up!

I think there could be a whole other thread there… per your post on the funnies of the US vs. Switzerland. (Or possibly a report to government – you’d think they’d be keen on saving cash right now e.g. “efficiencies”! You’d think…)Meanwhile:

Fears people could die
Fears people could die because of ‘insane solution’ to ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ coach ‘chaos’
There are serious concerns over a temporary plan to ease the coach parking ‘hell’ in Bourton-on-the-Water
“My concerns are that we have vulnerable residents some on end of life care, the noise pollution of the coaches along with the noise level of excited visitors exiting the coaches and then hanging around on a very narrow pathway awaiting pick up, will not only be disruptive to our residents but also those visiting loved ones,” the manager said.

Sorry, back to Bourton on the Water as the previously reported eureka! solution now carries a “but not everyone is happy” tab. If you look it up on Google Maps, Meadow Way is incorrectly shown as Bourton Link. Gotta say, it doesn’t look especially wide there.

Electric car smashed up with
Electric car smashed up with ‘big pole’ in protest against Elon Musk (Bristol Post)
https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/electric-car-smashed-up-protest-9980174
Wait for it…
A witness to the incident filmed a man, described as being in his 40s, using a “big pole” to smash the £44,950 Polestar car, on Monday, February 24.Before the incident on Kings Square Avenue near Stokes Croft, the man was seen holding a homemade sign which said he was protesting against Musk, and his electric car company, Tesla.
However, Polestar is a subsidiary of Volvo Car Group and Geely, a Chinese multinational company which is a rival to Tesla not associated with Musk.
