Video of 'masturbating' Addison Lee cab driver made public

Motorist had driven car into bike box when helmet cam user spotted him

The Sun has published helmet camera footage filmed by a London cyclist that shows an Addison Lee minicab driver apparently masturbating while looking at a pornographic magazine while driving.

Helmet camera user Lewis Dediare shot the footage on Saturday, although he did not want to make it public until he had pixellated some details, including we assume the Addison Lee logo . You can watch it here.

However, his original tweet on Saturday made clear that was the firm whose driver features in the video, shot in Pimlico, and a commenter to the Sun's story says that its logo is visible on a mobile phone in the car's centre console.

> A new take on ‘helmet cam’

The 48-year-old, who has appeared in several documentaries featuring helmet camera footage, told the Sun: “I was so shocked by what I saw. I didn’t expect it.

“As I was cycling towards him I noticed him driving into the cyclists’ box. The light had turned red and he had plenty of time to stop, but he carried on driving.

“As I got closer I realised he was looking at a pornographic magazine.

“It scares me to think that he could be picking women up after looking at pornography. He is a taxi driver, he could be carrying my sister. It is absolutely disgusting.”

The video, which you can watch here – shows the driver eventually rolling his window down, with the cyclist telling him: “First of all stop looking at porno. Number two, pay attention when you are coming to a red light.

"You entered the box, that’s three points and a £100 fine, so no pornography. I will report you for looking at pornography on the road while you are in command of a vehicle!”

Dediare told the Sun: “I am definitely going to show this footage to the police. He dismissed me like I was wasting his time. He will definitely be hearing from the courts.”

The video has not yet been posted to his Son Of The Winds Inc YouTube channel and has been supplied to the Sun (and Daily Express) via an agency.

Meanwhile one road.cc user replied to our tweet about the original story with a knew version of the Addison Lee logo he had quickly, ahem, knocked out.
