Chaumont cat 2
Hoogerland 8pts
Burghardt 6
Brandle 4
Bravo 2
Astarloza 1
Nah, if it comes down to a sprint, surely they'll ride for Blythe?
I'm hoping Blythe is dropped on the last climb, and Wyss takes it home...
Blythe took lanterne rouge. Close!
Heres mine...
Christopher Froome (SKY)
Richie Porte (SKY)
Rui Alberto Faria Da Costa (MOV)
Andrew Talansky (GRM)
Giacomo Nizzolo (RSN)
Garikoitz Bravo (EUS)
Kenny Dehaes (LOT)
Marcel Wyss (IAM)
Sebastien Reichanbach (IAM)
Brought in Nizzolo and Bravo today
Shuuda kept Clement rather than go for Nizzolo, but Im keeping Nizzolo now...
Pinotti?
I picked an IAM and BMC guy for the break today, got the wrong two guys though.
BMC were always going to feature today though as I think the route passes their HQ. Bookwalter/Blythe for the win?
....or Wyss, or Nerz...
Lead now 3.20 after 60km
He's been joined by Brandle (IAM) and Hoogerland (VCD) and they have a lead of 1.05
Burghardt (BMC) has a 23sec lead on the peleton
No transfers.
Froome
Porte
Meersman
Nizzolo
Gavazzi
Albasini
Morabito
Wyss (M)
Van Rensburg
Hoping that Rensburg can feature today on a slightly flatter run in and for Meersman/Nizzolo/Gavazzi to do pretty much what they did yesterday.
An Albasini, Wyss and Morabito breakaway would suit me well too
No DNS today
Christopher Froome (SKY)
Andrew Talansky (GRM)
Rui Alberto Faria Da Costa (MOV)
Gianni Meersman (OPQ)
Francesco Gavazzi (AST)
Reinardt Janse van Rensburg (ARG)
Rohan Dennis (GRM)
Dominik Nerz (BMC)
Luka Mezgec (ARG)
Think that the Swiss will want something today....Albasini should suit the stage if he is in the mood.....But as I have brought him in, then he probably won't be in the mood...
RUI COSTA
VELITS
MEERSMAN
GASPAROTTO
ALBASINI
SPILAK
WYSS (M)
BRAVO
NOCENTINI
Played it safe and bought in Bravo(KOM/Pts competition/possible break today) for Matthews(abandoned) and Meersman(a stage too late) for Westra.
Bravo
Meersman
Pinot
Kelderman
Bobridge
DuMoulin
Gavazzi
Talansky
Reichenbach
After scoring 79 and 28!! it can't get any worse so no changes today or tomorrow and i'll gut my team for the weekend. Getting froome in being priority
Porte
Talansky
Cav
Dumoulin
Tuft
Westra
M Wyss
Grabsch
Astarloza
Mistakes are costing me big time. Was sitting pretty at the top of the South West league but now i'm in danger of being 3rd after Romandie if i can't up my game! (Classic's didn't help)
Hoping for Astarloza now I bet???
I'm over trading ( as usual) and doing 3 transfers ( 10 penalties). I should learn foresight like drheaton. I'm going to need more transfers for saturday/sunday!! need these boys to pay me today and tomorrow:
froome
meersman
goss
albasini
gavazzi
nizzolo
wyss
van rensburg
dennis
I'm hoping to be able to stick with these for the next 2 stages - no transfers left and want 4 for Saturday...
Meersman
Nizzolo
Albasini
Grivko
D Wyss
M Wyss
Bravo (in for Dehaes)
Rui Costa (in for Goss)
Kelderman
Ive made 3 changes, 1 for saturday and two for today/tomorrow. My only problem is that I won't be able to have Froome for saturday/sunday.
Meersman
Gavazzi
Nizzolo (for Bouet)
Ferrari (for Dumoulin)
Dehaes
Dennis
Talansky
Kelderman
Pinot (for Martin)
My mare is today's selections. For once I'm doing well, but keeping the momentum going is making it harder.
One bit of comfort is that most people are having a mare. I got 89 in the prologue and then couldn't believe that 58 points in stage 1 moved my team up 174 places.
Im not having a mare.......Im having a MARE in capital letters....
I heard that - I got 76 yesterday (including 10 penalty pts) and came 31st on the stage!
71 including a 30 point penalty, without the penalty I'd have been joint second on the stage.
Yes, I'm hoping to make no more transfers until Saturday, quite happy with my team for the next 2 days.
Climb looks (to my untrained eye) to be steeper and closer to the finish today - might be a bit more selective? Avoiding people like Ferrari just in case - prefer to stick with Meersman and Nizzolo. Hoping BMC will work for Dani Wyss rather than Blythe today...
After a reasonable day yesterday I don't think I'll make any changes. I'd consider bringing in Ferrari but that's about it. Right now, its all about saving transfers for Saturday and Sunday.
