Mavic Exalith brake track pads

I have a set of Mavic wheels with an exalith brake track. They've lasted really well, but are now pretty worn. The file surface is still there, but it is much smoother, and there are large areas of aluminum where the coating has worn off.

I'm planning to use them as training/winter wheels, but with the very hard exalith brake pads they don't stop very well, particularly in the wet.

Has anyone tried a normal brake pad with exalith wheels? Or can you suggest a pad with a hard compound that I could try?

Cheers,

Nick

If you're not bothered about the rims, just try it with a normal pad - accepting that they might only last a ride or two worst case.

Post back, so I know what to do when my Exalith rims get past it 3
