I wonder if that’s a reversible effect, if cyclists interviewed considered car drivers less than human. I’d venture less so as most (many) cyclists are also car drivers.
Kinda concerning that 30% of cyclist drivers saw cyclists as less than human. Though I think I have experienced that. I regularly ride NZ’s largest century which sees up to 12,000 participants. Occasionally I ride all or some of the 170 miles home the next day, when scores (literally thousands ) of car driving cyclists pass me on our main highway. Some of the closest passes I get, and most inconsiderate driving I get all year, is from those cyclists in cars.
