York Rally 2019

We hope you’ll join us on the 22-23 June 2019 for this free, friendly weekend of cycling on York’s Knavesmire. Entry, parking and almost all activities are completely free of charge!
Whether you cycle already or not, please do come along, bring the family and have a go! There’s a family atmosphere and plenty to do all weekend, including live music, food and a real ale bar.
The York Rally, founded in 1945, is famous as the UK’s historic gathering for cycle tourers, grass-roots racers, vintage cycle experts and more! And it’s also 100% volunteer organised!
There’s camping on site for the many visitors who stay for the whole weekend – book early for the lowest prices!

There are two objections to that, one is that whilst you can say that "no one should be bothered by it for a few seconds as I pass" more and more...
I agree! I'd keep the ban and remove powermeters as well, personally, though I'd keep radios for safety reasons.
That, and the idea that motorists keep below the 20mph limit stretches credulity...
