Can confirm that SK is a regular cyclist. Sad he has to ride with security but glad whenever I have seen him out all the other riders just seem to respect his privacy.
I think said poster may be being ironic, or taking the lead from the first version of the article which confused maximum assisted speed with maximum speed. That said, in a way NL has followed this line (albeit for reasons of safety more that "it stands to reason..." - but that includes taking account of human psychology)! Cyclists *are* banned from roads with higher speed limits. (No "trapped in our homes!" folks, this is really no loss, as there are usually equivalent or even better routes. Although perhaps pro cyclists might quibble?) Where most of the mixing occurs motorists *are* limited to rather low speed (30kph, so less that 20mph - or lower). More questionably, I believe they've had a look at significantly faster e-bikes. (S-pedelecs are available, albeit with some limitations as to where they should go). Possibly because they still have actual motor scooters on much of the cycle infra...
@Rendel Harris I’m sure your comment is made in a positive spirit... I'm not. These 'I'm a cyclist myself...but we need much higher speeds for EAPCs and we will have 'all the traffic flow' says diehard driver to me. There's even a Trojan Horse: 'or limit cars to 15' which he doesn't mean and knows won't happen' and a giveaway for his real motive: 'so annoying for drivers on the road'. No Higher Limits for EAPC Assistance! Trollfinder General
I see Sadiq Khan's posts on fakebook from time to time and the comments are truly disgusting, even by FB standards.
Never tried Zwift even free trial. Not sure I ever want to. I’ve been on sufferfest, now disappointingly part of wahoo My 5 minute power is so far ahead of my ftp. I could really never move away
I think early on a Sunday morning can be one of the most dangerous times to cycle. Drivers coming back from parties after drugs / booze / little sleep, drivers on the way home after a night shift ; perhaps taking the opportunity to drive faster because the roads are quiet. The sun low in the sky. I would certainly think twice before entering an early Sunday or Saturday morning dual carriageway time trial. I have read of a few TT riders killed at such times. I recall reading on this website about a driver who hit and killed a time trialist from behind in an early morning event (on the A1 I think). In court they claimed that the cyclist had "Come out of nowhere." I don't think drugs, booze, mobiles were involved but the motorist was jailed.
Still have my Lotus Sport XT built by British Eagle, great bike.
NF: -I can’t keep this car going at 20mph without keeping my foot on the brakes. What a stupid, ridiculous, braindead situation,” he ranted. “It will be the death of the driver. The mental health issues, the frustration will be enormous. Remember, the idea of a car is to get us from A to B quickly and safely.”- Tell us (and everyone who agrees with you) that you shouldn't have a driving licence... without telling us...
Perry: “you told me they were a big issue. They impeded the local roads. They were causing congestion. Buses couldn’t get through, and we even had emergency vehicles being held up when they were on a call. ... Not only that, it also took out parking bays for local trade, which meant that people couldn’t stop and couldn’t shop in our local businesses." So given the above issues should now have been resolved after all this, why is Perry not posting clips on social media about how Croydon has become a driving utopia...? And with this point: “And if you’re a cyclist, they were actually quite dangerous as we weren’t able to get the right mechanical vehicles in to clean those lanes up. They had to go." Why wasn't that taken into consideration beforehand, or did they want to create an issue to then "resolve". (like our good friends Dung-Old Karen Taco Trump and NF etc do so often) Though that point itself is questionable as apparently the correct equipment does exist.

you’ll also need a road bike that magically morphs into a cyclo-cross bike, with a saddle-dropper and flat pedals
a bit like the once Lance had…

How can you tell? I struggle to make out the details and at least looking at the beam shot seems to be clipped in with overshoes and all? At one point the fork does look a bit round, but could be the angle?

What’s with the hating? Its far easier to prove guilt, rather harder to prove a negative yet no one even started a case. So until someone actually even starts a court case I’ll give “cancer charity fundraising machine” ($53m given to various causes in 2010 alone) the benefit of the doubt.
That is cool. I wish there
That is cool. I wish there was more footage of him shredding the trails.

Wish they hadn’t cut out him ‘landing’ that 360.
[*NB I cannot do these tricks. I am not as good as him either way. This is just the comment of an envious man]
