Jo Burt has spent the majority of his life riding bikes, drawing bikes and writing about bikes. When he’s not scribbling pictures for the whole gamut of cycling media he writes words about them for road.cc and when he’s not doing either of those he’s pedaling. Then in whatever spare minutes there are in between he’s agonizing over getting his socks, cycling cap and bar-tape to coordinate just so. And is quietly disappointed that yours don’t He rides and races road bikes a bit, cyclo-cross bikes a lot and mountainbikes a fair bit too. Would rather be up a mountain.

Sounds good to me - after all it would be no offence if people were hands-free / device was in a cradle "and they were not distracted" at the same time, shurely?

Something else that would help in terms of public understanding of the differences is for the brands making legal bikes to not start having a war between who has the most powerful motor. The 250 W "continuous" power rule seems to be circumvented in various ways so that far more powerful machines are now officially legal. This limitation needs to be better defined and controlled, because it seems to be meaningless based on the legal eMTBs that have been launched recently.

@mdavidford They can't see from there if he was using handsfree, and it sounded like he was sort of shouting at his phone, so probably was. On the other hand, "We'll call you a bit later to discuss your driving without due care and attention, we've been behind you on blues and two's for ages"

@Mr Blackbird I also can’t understand why any cycling fans would boo Pogacar They're not so much fans as morons. Wasn't MvdP booed even in the Low Countries, his home turf, because he kept winning? These are the same type of despicable people as those who riot and destroy on any pretext?
