SRAM increased Times stack from 13.5mm to 14.6mm which they seemed to do to match Shimano for some stupid reason, good job I kept hold of my early Xpresso's, lower stacked pedals ride better, tho weirdly higher stacked pedals shorten cranks, effectively 🤷

@Rendel Harris No, you are misinformed. I was just exercising my right to do a citizen's arrest of illegal mountain bikers. But it's interesting how mountain bikers refuse to address or stop their illegal mountain biking.

Whilst the tired complaints of bike-hating locals is only to be expected, the police really haven't done themselves any favours with their 'e-bike drug runners' comments. I would be very surprised if every illegal drug hadn't at some point been transported in a car, but I've never heard them oppose new roads on the grounds that it would encourage drug-running drivers. I'm really astonished that they would even make such comments, and can we be told if they managed to keep a straight face when they made them?

Fixed gear bike with big tyres, mudguards, pannier rack and a dynamo. Mine has done 30 miles a week, all year for around 10 years now, cost about £50 off a forum (it's a pompino) and has only required a couple of new chains, chainrings/sprockets out the parts bin, and a few pairs of used tyres out the parts bin. Always puzzled by people with commuters which are just slightly worse than their main bikes.

@Bompton rider (I think we have run out of levels for a reply!) Indeed, crossing or no crossing, one should be mindful of pedestrians (& others) and expect the unexpected. Or in your case the expected. What has changed is the suggestion (in the HC) that you "should" stop if you believe they might wish to step out. That was, I think, understood in years gone by, with out being specifically highlighted.

Cycling in Paris this evening, many bikes and escooters don't take any notice of the red lights. A number of bikes do stop, but not many.
