Pivot’s Shuttle AM has been updated for 2025, with new cutting-edge Bosch motors and RockShox suspension added to some of the builds. Liam has already had a go on the Shuttle AM ahead of its launch, and you can read his first ride thoughts here

In this article, we’re diving into the main tech details. What’s new, and why has Pivot felt the need to update its already successful AM platform?

New motors, new suspension

So, the two big things with the new Pivot Shuttle AM is that the brand has stayed with Bosch, but updated to the newer motors. This means there is the option to run the Bosch Gen 5 Performance Line CX or the CX-R motor (the latter is the replacement for the limited edition Race motor on the previous Shuttle AM).

All builds will also come with an 800Wh battery, and the option to run a 250Wh range extender. All of this while keeping the weight down to a claimed 21.5kg for the top-spec Team build.

There is also the option to run RockShox suspension on two builds. This is a first for the Shuttle AM platform, which has traditionally run Fox – and still does but only on the top-spec Team build. Plus, you can add on the Fox Live Valve Neo shock for an extra €1,300.

The builds

Three builds are laid out for the new Shuttle AM, all-mountain platform. All get the designed 150mm rear and 160mm front suspension, but prices vary between £8,599 and £13,999 with the model Liam rode, the Pro X0 Eagle costing £11,900.

So it’s still not exactly cheap, even at the lower spec. But with the boost to power, new riding modes and extra battery range, could it be worth the investment?

The three builds are set into Ride, Pro and Team options. The £8,599 Ride Eagle 70/80 comes with a mix of SRAM’s new Eagle 70 and 80 drivetrains, and SRAM DB8 Stealth brakes. Suspension is courtesy of RockShox, with a Lyrik Select+ fork and Super Deluxe Select shock.

The middle ground is the one Liam rode: the Pro X0 Eagle Transmission. As the name suggests it comes with SRAM’s X0 Eagle Transmission groupset and SRAM Maven Silver brakes. RockShox is also used on this model, with a Zeb Ultimate fork and Super Deluxe Ultimate shock.

The top specced build is the Team XX Eagle Transmission, priced at £13,999. It comes with a Fox Factory 36 fork, Fox Factory Float X shock and SRAM’s XX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain. On top of that, there’s the SRAM Maven Ultimate brakes to make it a show-stopping bike.

Liam seemed pretty impressed with the new Shuttle AM during his first ride, suggesting it’s “feedback-rich” and although isn’t the most composed during technical riding, it certainly seems to have a place in the Pivot eMTB lineup.

The Shuttle AM bikes are available to order through Pivot dealers.
